For the last decade I have worked across the AV industry, mostly in events. For a bulk of this I worked for a large multi-national business in both Adelaide and Far North Queensland.

Both areas had a different approach to events, and it was in Port Douglas that I really had a chance to be creative. In the tropics, a real emphasis was put into augmenting the natural surroundings. Nestled between the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree, Port Douglas was very laid back with big, bright events on a naturally stunning canvas.

To wow event participants, we would use a lot of environmental lighting to colour the natural elements – and to great effect.

I’ve started Amuse to bring this approach to the Adelaide market. It shouldn’t only be destinations that have this wow factor.
